March 2022 Virtual Tutor Training Workshop

Registration is closed for this event

Spring is in the air!

Volunteer English Program is proud to announce that our highly successful, VIRTUAL Tutor Training Workshop format continues. It is designed to fully prepare volunteer tutors to teach English to adult, non-native speakers from Chester County. Tutor and student will decide whether to start virtually or in person. The goal is to eventually meet in person when both parties feel it is safe enough to do so.

If you...

  • want to make an important and lasting impact on someone’s life and your own
  • want to help an adult succeed while strengthening your local community
  • enjoy learning about other cultures
  • want to be inspired

...please consider becoming a VEP tutor!

Close to 100 non-native English speaking immigrants and refugees who live and/or work in Chester County are seeking someone like you to personalize their English language instruction and provide American cultural guidance. Tutors and students alike are adults who represent all ages, backgrounds, and interests. These partnerships open doors to many life-changing opportunities for both students and tutors.

Prior teaching experience or fluency in a language other than English is not required. References and background checks will be conducted before being matched with a student.
