September 2024 Virtual Tutor Training Workshop

With over 100 students on our Wait List and many more eagerly anticipating their turn, we are experiencing increased demand for free English language instruction and cultural guidance for immigrants and refugees living and working in Chester County.

Prior teaching experience or fluency in a language other than English is not required. The Tutor Training Workshop is designed to fully prepare volunteer tutors to teach a VEP student and help them reach their English language goals. In-person and/or hybrid tutoring opportunities are available. References and background checks will be conducted before being matched with a student.

*Please note that while this is a virtual event, your hard-copy Tutor Training Guide will need to be picked up at the VEP office in West Chester the week before training starts. Pick-up dates will be provided after registration.
